Our why
Every business deserves a front desk — even if you can’t hire one.
Spindle started from a simple frustration: the smallest businesses — the ones who most need help answering the phone, replying to texts, and following up — are the least able to hire someone to do it. So we’re building the front desk they could never afford to hire.
The problem
A missed call is a missed customer.
A solo operator can’t be on the phone, in the inbox, and on the job at the same time. So calls go to voicemail. Texts sit for hours. Follow-ups never happen. And the work quietly walks down the street to whoever picked up first.
The fix used to be hiring a receptionist — out of reach for most. The other option, stitching together a half-dozen tools, just moves the problem around and hands you the bill. We thought there should be a third way: one calm, capable front desk that answers everything, in one thread, by the book — and that you actually control.
What we believe
The principles we build by.
You stay in control
Pay-as-you-go, every cost shown before it happens, and you author the agents. We never make decisions about your money or your message behind your back.
By the book — in the code
Consent, opt-outs, quiet hours and disclosure aren’t settings you can switch off. They’re floors written into the engine. (Engineering controls for your benefit — not legal advice.)
It’s genuinely you
Email drafts land in your own inbox and you press send. The agents are warm and human — and they tell the truth the moment someone asks if they’re automated.
Augment, never replace
Spindle helps your front desk handle more conversations with less effort. It’s a tool you run, not a team you replace.
Honest by default
Transparent pricing, no logos we haven’t earned, and we tell you plainly what’s live versus what’s still coming.
One thread, woven
A spindle winds many threads into one. Every call, text, and email about a customer, on a single strand — so nothing gets dropped between the apps.
Where we are
Building carefully, in private beta.
The cockpit, the compliance rails, and the voice front desk are built. We’re finishing multi-tenant accounts, automatic email, and — before a single message goes out at scale — a review with counsel. Texting is consent-first and gated on that review.
We’d rather launch right than launch loud.
Spindle’s compliance features are engineering safeguards for your benefit — not legal advice, and not a safe harbor. You’re the legal sender, responsible for your own compliance.
