Terms & acceptable use
The rules we run by —
and ask you to.
Spindle’s engine enforces compliance floors in code. These terms make the same commitments contractual: you’re the legal sender, consent comes first, and stop means stop.
Working draft · to be finalized with counsel before launch · July 10, 2026
Private beta, plainly stated.
Spindle is in private beta. This site is informational; features, availability, and pricing are in draft and can change before launch. The site and any beta access are provided as is, without warranties of any kind.
Live texting and billing turn on only after our compliance review with counsel. Until then, nothing on this site is an offer to sell a service. A private-preview request starts a conversation and does not guarantee access, pricing, or availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spindle’s liability arising from this site or the beta is limited to the amount you’ve paid us — which, during the beta, is nothing.
The acceptable-use policy.
Six rules. The engine enforces them mechanically; using Spindle means agreeing to them contractually.
Consent first
You may only contact people you have a lawful basis to contact. No purchased consumer lists, no scraped numbers, no cold texting.
Stop means stop
Opt-outs are honored immediately and everywhere. Working around a suppression — any channel, any wording — is grounds for suspension.
Quiet hours hold
No messaging outside 8am–9pm in the recipient’s time zone. The engine enforces this; the terms require it too.
Say what it is
Automated assistants must disclose that they’re automated when asked. Configuring a persona to deceive is prohibited.
Nothing unlawful
No spam, fraud, harassment, impersonation, or content that violates law — including TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and state equivalents.
Fail-closed is final
When the engine blocks a send for missing proof, that block is the product working. Circumventing it ends the account.
You’re the sender. We’re the floors.
When the product goes live, customers attest they have a lawful basis for every contact and indemnify Spindle by signature. In return we back you with floors no setting can disable and a signed, exportable record of everything.
Spindle’s compliance features are engineering controls provided for your benefit — not legal advice, and not a safe harbor. Violations of the acceptable-use policy can result in suspension or termination; where the floors and a customer instruction conflict, the floors win.
